A beautiful and rare 1930s black spiderweb lace gown. Sleeveless with a lovely scoop neck and a light lace ruffle along the neckline. Keyhole back opening with an elegant sweep to the skirt with godets leading down to a trumpet-y hem. Side snaps and a hook and eye. A 4-inch netted backing along the hem holds the bottom of the skirt in an elegant undulating shape and adds a bit of weight. Lace is a delicate net with large format spiderwebs throughout the entire gown. I've truly never seen a spiderweb lace gown as spider-webby as this!
Size: S (dress has some stretch similar to a bias cut garment)
bust: resting at 32" stretches up to 35"/36"
waist: resting at 24" stretches up to 28"
hip: up to 39"
total length: 58"
Condition: Very, very good. Lace has good tensile strength and stretches without strain. There are a smattering of small pulls, but none that detract (you can see in the close-up photos) Our seamstress reinforced one area at the hip (last photo) Dress is sturdy and wearable (with care, as you would any delicate lace garment)
